"Under the Export Award Scheme, one Gold Trophy, two Silver Trophies, 10 Gold Medals, 10 Silver Medals and 50 Certificates of Merit were awarded to the exporters for their performance made during 2000-01. One Silver Trophy and 3 Silver Medals were awarded to the exporters who have achieved more than 100% increase in fob value of exports over the previous year. One Gold Trophy, one Gold Medal and one Silver Medal were also awarded to the exporters against performance of Deemed Exports during 2000-01. Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Textiles presented all the above 80 awards to the WINNERS.

Among these, the following top awards were presented

1. M/s.Paliwal Overseas Ltd., Panipat got Gold Trophy for 7th time for their exemplary export performance of Rs.603.56 millions during 2000-01.

2. M/s.Abhitex International, Panipat got Silver Trophy for their export performance of Rs.458.30 millions during 2000-01

3. M/s.Paliwal Exports, Panipat got Silver Trophy for their export performance of Rs.366.70 millions during 2000-01.

4. M/s.Flora Exports, Panipat got Silver Trophy for 100% increase (Rs.73.90 millions during 2000-01) over the previous year (Rs.1.20 millions during 1999-2000)

5. M/s.Asian Handlooms, Karur got Gold Trophy against their export performance of Deemed Exports Rs.525.75 millions during 2000-01.
